grant under the public notice Strategia Forografia 2025, promoted by the General Directorate for
Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministry of Culture, which aims to promote and support
Italian practice, talent, and excellence in the field of photography.

The project is a global series portraying people and animals that have been impacted by climate change, environmental degradation and destruction. I was extremely honored to be on the jury together with Clinton Cargill, news director for the New York Times Photo Department and photographer Sabiha Çimen, winner of the 2024 Grant, and review 160 applicants. The grant for Humanistic Photography empowers storytellers since 1979, supporting high standards and integrity in documentary photography.

The winner of the fifth edition of the Star Photobook Dummy Award is Yufan Lu with her work Make Me Beautiful which will become a book in 2026, thanks to the award impulsed by the Foundation Photographic Social Vision, and published by RM editions, Phree and Ediciones Posibles.
